I tried to make a little homage to Nick Dewar, one of the slickest illustrators I’ve ever seen, who died a few months back. A huge loss, his flat acrylic paintings had more style than a prince concert. My attempt was fun, but it doesn’t capture his work at all, or do him any justice. ![]() Illustration for the Globe and Mail, Ink and Digital Another poster!I have been working on this one for awhile. It’s way more work than I should’ve done for pro bono work for a friend, but it was a fun concept and I wanted to see what I could do with it. It ended up being a pretty fun and hard process. I learned a lot about watercolours doing this as well. LIKE, did you know that if you have a nice toothy paper you can ERASE watercolours? I learned that. The leather jacket in the bottom left is a result of that subtractive effect.
